What exactly does Bequestly do?
Bequestly prepares information materials and organises family documents. We do not give legal, financial, or estate-planning advice. Our role is purely educational and organisational — helping you understand where to look and keeping your records in order.
Can you advise us on what to do with the estate?
No. Our services are strictly informational and documentary. For advice on estates, probate, or asset distribution you would need to consult a qualified Thai lawyer or notary. We are glad to explain what kinds of professionals can help and what questions to ask them.
How long does the Document Sorting service take?
Typically two to four working sessions, depending on the volume of materials. We schedule these at a pace that suits your household and do not rush the process.
Is the Process Orientation Guide specific to Thai law?
The guide explains how inheritance processes are generally organised in Thailand and points to relevant official sources such as the Land Department and Department of Provincial Administration. It does not constitute legal commentary.
How is the Memory & Legacy Documentation delivered?
The completed archive is delivered as a bound printed volume and a structured digital folder. Photographs are catalogued with a digitisation plan; scanning itself can be arranged separately at cost.
What happens to my family documents after the service?
All original documents are returned to you on completion. We do not retain physical or digital copies of personal records unless you specifically request a working copy for follow-up sessions.
Are your services suitable for expatriate families?
Yes. Many of our clients are expatriate families resident in Bangkok who need to understand Thai processes while managing documents from multiple countries. All communication and materials are in English.
